Our Mission

To provide previously flown United States flags to crematories so they may drape United States
Veterans during the cremation process, showing dignity, honor, and respect to our
United States Veterans and our United States flag.

Our goals

Vision Statement

It is our vision to provide a previously flown United States flag for all United States veterans when being cremated. Our goal is one hundred percent coverage for all veterans who choose cremation. We will start small and local and grow nationwide as our reach and supply allows. We will partner with and gather flags from individuals, veteran organizations, US-based flag manufacturers, local, state, and federal governments.

Going National

Who We Serve

As previously stated, our goal is to have one hundred percent coverage for all veterans who choose cremation. We were founded in the great state of Maine. Our roots are deeply engrained in the military culture of the state. We want to spread our wings and help as many as we can nationally. We care for all U.S. veterans and strive to do the best work we possibly can.

DONATE YOUR FLAG

We can only exist through the generosity of others. If you have a retired United States flag in your possession, please consider donating it to us at The Final Flag.

who we are

Ken Saindon

Ken Saindon is the President of The Final Flag. Ken was born and raised in a military family. His grandfather served in the United States Army in World War II and his father served 20 years in the United States Air Force. While never joining the Armed Services himself, Ken always held military members and their families in the highest regard. Currently, Ken works as the Operations Manager at a crematory in Maine. They use formerly flown or “retired” flags to drape United States Veterans during the cremation process. These flags are few and far between with never enough flags to drape all the veterans. In speaking to other crematory operators he found this is a common issue with draping veterans. Here is where the seed was planted for The Final Flag!
